Through this essay is reflected on contemporary dance as a tool that allows instituting in the subjectivity of people aesthetic discourses that mold the individual. The approach to dance interpretation changes radically by making consent to the exercise of power in areas as diverse as artistic processes, supposedly spaces for creative expression and practice of freedom. Dance as a subjective language is established to enrich local practices, and transform them into art, build bodies fit for this expression and maintain a distance between those who can access it and those who do not. The practice of contemporary dance is related to the processes of modernization of our country, it has a direct impact on the society of Quito, in its geographical and human configuration. |
