The present work aims to design a telemetry network for the meteorological stations of the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana of Cayambe in the Pisque River Basin.
The design is based on the analysis of the geographic location of each of the meteorological stations with respect to the Cayambe Support Center, to define the connectivity requirements, allowing the selection of a suitable wireless network to send meteorological data of ambient temperature, Relative humidity, wind speed and river precipitation, in real time.
It is also considered the use of radiofrequency due to the unfavorable situation presented by one of the meteorological stations.
In addition, an economic analysis is carried out to determine the feasibility of implementing a telemetry network for the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, based on the TIR and VAN economic indicators.
These indicators allow us to know the profitability that would generate the implementation of the telemetry network over time, the beneficiaries being producers dedicated to agricultural and livestock activities in the area.
This project, developed by the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, is focused on improving productive activity in the rural areas of the San Pedro de Cayambe, monitoring the climatic behavior of the Pisque River Basin. The results will allow an improvement in the irrigation programming system which is currently managed by the Cayambe Support Center, aiming to achieve maximum production and improve the quality of products. |
