This product develops the systematization of the intervention project made to promote the bio-psycho-social well-being of the older adult, using dance-movement-therapy tools in the Calderón area, developed between April and July 2017, in Casa Somos Calderón’s building, through the alliance with the “Centro de Equidad y Justicia (CEJ-Calderón)”.
This project is based on the definition of bio-psycho-social by George Engel, who uses this term for medicine, and the concept of dance therapy, from Maria Fux.
The implementation of this project was carried out in ten sessions, in which the three aspects (physical, psychological and social) were worked through different activities.
It is important to see how innovative activities allow an integral intervention with the older adult. This helps to promote lifestyles more focused on physical, psychological and social well-being.
In this systematization, a quantitative-qualitative methodology with a hermeneutical approach is used, with the application of; “Escala de motricidad para adultos mayores”, the Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff, the sessions satisfaction survey and observation, recorded in field journals, all organized in matrices that were helpful for the interpretation of experience information and the results.
Concluding that more innovative and dynamic activities for the older adult in which work is more comprehensive and satisfying for this age group, are more pleasant and suitable for them. |
