Sumario: Currently in our country the pharmaceutical industry is not very developed, since it has few laboratories certified for the execution of this productive activity, which causes an ignorance with the residues that are generated and in turn with the appropriate form of treatment that is should give them, where probably the water resource would be the most affected. The Emergent pollutants (EC) found are persistent and very difficult to remove, that is why they should opt for POAs, which allow to fractionate the complex structures making them simpler and easier to degrade. This process starts with applying a chemical precipitation and then employs a combined advanced oxidation technique comprising a mixture of ferrous sulfate, hydrogen peroxide and ozone for a contact time of 30 minutes of permanence and stirring in a jar set, of an additional 30 minutes rest check the reduction of the pollutant load and proceed with a biological treatment of active sludge, which was checked at the passage of days the reduction of COD value and increase of BOD5. The results that were obtained after the oxidation treatment were 0.60 in the ratio of BOD5 / COD and after the application of the activated sludge system a COD value of 189 mg / L was reached at the sixth day, which is under the limit established and confirms the effectiveness in the decontamination.
