The present article works on the use of the journalistic technique of the news as an important tool for the elaboration of news in digital media. At the same time, through the analysis made during the investigation, the lack of use of this classic technique in digital media El Comercio and El Telégrafo against the subject of the case Odebrecht chapter Ecuador and the ex - vice president Jorge Glas who is currently serving a sentence of six years for illicit association. News that took place in a context where the country was discovering great corruption plots in different areas of national politics. Allowing with this analysis to observe if readers are informed appropriately.
With the creation of the internet, the media create spaces for their publications, thus creating digital media. It has been observed with the analysis that these media no longer meet the elements of Carl Warren, although until now nobody has changed them or designed new elements to evaluate the news and they have not adapted them either.
