Sumario: The present ethnography is the result of participant observation and Anthropological Interviews to the habitants of the community, made during the years 2014 and 2015 in the neighborhood of San Juan de Cumbayá, party That celebrations year after year, Known As the "Payasada de San Juan". The celebration has been developed in the locality for almost a century in homage to the image of San Juan Bautista who is recognized by the inhabitants as the patron saint of the neighborhood and symbol of benevolence and wonders: the most representative character of the party is the clown, for which the festival is named the "Payasada de San Juan"; trough this party social, economic, hegemonic and cultural relationships are created and are evident in the organization and execution of the celebration. The celebration is made under responsibility of the priostes who coordinate all the elements required party: the characters, decoration of the church, offerings for Mass, clothing San Juan, preparations for the liturgy, “bandas de pueblo”, castles, Pyrotechnics, food and drink for all participants in the various events. The "Payasada de San Juan" has great relevance for its community since it is a set of meanings and ancestral knowledge, which are part of the cultural identity
