It has turned out very important to study citizen journalism lately due to the fact that
it is a practice that hasn’t been analyzed theoretically deeply for the last years, and as
such, it becomes really necessary to begin from the upraising of a state of art that
explores the different concepts and definitions that have been given recently.
The research was carried out through indexed magazines published between the year
2010 and the year 2012 based on the Dialnet, Radalyc, and Scielo data.
Can a person become a citizen journalist? And, at the same time, can all the
citizenship consider this communicative practice as reliable? Therefore, is it possible
to consider this citizenship journalism as a professional practice?
So, this academic article answers these questions from the concepts and definitions
found in different indexed magazines.
The content found about this topic becomes really worthy in order to carry out new
researches and theoretical approaches about citizenship journalism, which is a very
frequent and powerful practice along with the rise of the technology as a means of
communication and the internet. |
