Sumario: Sondor, An Inca Settlement at Pacucha, AndahuaylasIn this paper, the authors present recent data obtained from excavations at the Sondor archaeological complex, one of the principal Inca archaeological monuments located on the Inca road between Cuzco and the site of Vilcashuaman (Department of Apurimac). Studies in Sondor focused on the architectonic organization of the site and burial patterns. These studies led to the formulation of a hypothesis about ritual practices and ceremonies related to the capacocha (Inca state sacrifices). Investigations at Sondor focused on the promotion of research and site conservation for cultural and touristic purposes.
