Sumario: This work is intended to demonstrate the enormous influence that the doctrine of Eduardo Couture took on the Brazilian civil process, in particular on the relationship between Constitution and civil process in the perspective of the right of action. Thus intends to pay a heartfelt tribute to one who was considered one of the greatest Latin American procedure scholars of the twentieth century, whose voice echoed far beyond the borders of Latin America and whose ideas won procedural citizenship forums.
