Sumario: This article aims to present the results of a review of the literature whose purpose identified variables and dimensions for the measurement of the maturity of safety and health at work management. Safety and health at work management has been modified in response to the current dynamics of organizations due to the introduction of new schemes of work, which are products of the development of the global economy. The review of the literature on 38 articles published between 2001-2017 in ScienceDirect, EBSCO, Eric and Redalyc and 6 documents detected through iterative search, which allowed to identify 10 dimensions grouped into 3 variables that can contribute to the measurement of the maturity of this management. These are internal context, external context and occupational safety and health approach (conceived as central strategy).
