The purpose of this article is to present on scientific basis, the arguments on which it is difficult to weaken dysfunctional or maladaptive schemas incorporated on the structure of personality into breeding from dysfunctional experiences. It also provides the opportunity to propose alternatives to overcome or restructure these patterns, despite of being recorded in systems of our nervous system, specifically in the amygdalae, which reserves emotional memory. In conclusion it is an opening to develop therapeutic strategies for the benefit of patients seeking medical consultation to overcome traumas and improve their quality of life. |
