Sumario: The study aims to simulate soil loss in the lower part of the watershed ravine Cune, using the USLE model (Universal Soil Loss Equation) as one of the methods used to calculate and / or quantitatively estimate the loss ground in a specific area under current environmental conditions and different scenarios of use and land cover and climate variability. To develop this we use a supported Geographic Information System in ArcGIS for processing and generation of cartographic and alphanumeric information. The spatial reference unit was the unit of land, serving this as a basis for calculating the USLE factors. A rate of soil loss was identified in current conditions of 5.02 t / ha-year, this being a high soil loss, by classification degree of erosion according to the annual soil loss by CENICAFE proposal. For simulated scenarios a variation is observed in the rate of erosion, identifying the most influential factors in the equation. It was concluded that the most influential factor in the loss of soil is to use and coverage of it. In the simulations and with the Pearson correlation coefficient it was obtained such a result.
