Sumario: The deficiency in the provision of water quality for human consumption in the Department of Huila and the great differences that exist between urban and rural areas, have led to take actions necessary to improve the quality of water supplied to the population; that is why the need to develop the application "System Information Monitoring Water Quality for Human Consumption - SIVICAP" arises, which allows all departmental health authorities, report data monitoring water quality for human consumption, according to their activities Inspection, Surveillance and Control in the country and minimize risks to public health. This project is made so that there is an optimization of policy instruments departmental development and strengthening government institutions to ensure process control and monitoring of water for human consumption and thus consolidate actions aimed at decreasing behavioral risk of IRCAs. This study comprises the sequential development of different stages that starts from the collection of the information of the study area to processing data Risk Index Water Quality for Human Consumption - IRCA. Following this with SPSS software they were sought that couples parameters correlated with each other numerically and then correlated pairs establish whether any relationship had physical, chemical or microbiological type. IRCAm is also calculated and the correlation between meteorological variables (precipitation and temperature) with the index and these variables on some parameters which are weighted in the IRCA was performed. Thematic maps were prepared to see the behavior of IRCA against geographical characteristics and climatic variation in each of the municipalities in the Department of Huila; finally a series of recommendations for the control and monitoring according to the analyzes performed were raised. The department of Huila reflected as fault the breach of the rule regarding the frequency and minimum number of samples to be measured, especially in the chemical characteristics of substances that have recognized adverse effect on human health and which have implications on it. Moreover, strong correlations between the apparent physical characteristics Color and turbidity occurred; and microbiological characteristics Total coliforms and Escherichia coli. Also, relationships between the parameter Total Iron, Color apparent, pH and hardness for the years under study were presented. Regarding the correlation between meteorological variables and IRCA no relationship was not presented, but on parameters such as color, turbidity, coliforms and Escherichia coli, precipitation and pH with respect to temperature. With the development of the maps the Municipality of Neiva with the largest number of blue dots highlighted, is the water that was distributed was fit for human consumption, as regards the urban area unlike other municipalities which predominate red dots (unviable sanitary), orange dots (high risk), yellow dots (medium risk) and green dots (low risk), set this it was noted that the geography and diversity of climates throughout the huilense territory is very diverse. Finally, it was evident that should expand coverage and density of meteorological stations that provide continuous data for precipitation and temperature especially for the department of Huila.
