Sumario: This research work was aimed to find about the problem that occurs in the transition from primary to high school, where and according to the expertise of many teachers, academic and convivial acute disorder is evident. To find out what happens there, it was proposed to analyze the emotions experienced by students from a humanistic and educational look at the school transition from fifth primary to sixth grade school in two official schools in Bogota. The job with emotions is important in public life and being a central element in the humanistic training worked. The analysis was performed from the qualitative approach and ethno-methodological method, which allowed understanding the phenomenon addressed in its immediate context. Results from research are directly related to the different emotions about the transition to high school, and how they are conditioned by school spaces, teachers and the relationships established between actors who are involved in this transition, as emotional manifestation that arises from the relations between the different members of the educational community. Similarly, the emotional contrast that exists in the transition from elementary school to secondary basic stands. Keywords Emotions, transition to high school, humanism, humanist education
