The influence of the founder of the family business (fb) is decisive in the formation of the culture of its organization, formed by values, beliefs and rules of conduct which come from the family environment. The purpose of this article, which aims to contribute to knowledge of the Mexican family business, is to find the values of the business which come from the founder, and which have been transmitted to the present day, and so, to discover the coincidences of family values and their influence on the continuity of three third-generation Mexican businesses, using case studies, and the theory of systems. The results indicate that in all three cases, there is recognition of the importance of values handed down to the business by the founder, and that the sense of pride and belonging to the business coincides in these three cases, which suggests an influence on the behaviour of personnel. |
