This texts defends education for criticalthought based on a dissertation field that links human dignitywith the development of the accounting discipline.Based on a documentary work and context-based problemformulation, we examine how hyper-modern thoughtlifestylecast aside the power of critical reasoning as a fundamentalmeans to promote ethical-political projects. Theaim of said projects would be the acknowledgement ofthousands of human beings that are currently excluded andrejected by and from the postulates of the globalized neoliberalmodel. We describe how the socio-economic contradictionsof the prevailing development model demand thatthe Public Accounting programs re-think their EducationalProjects (EP) to discover how can they go and meettheir students to assist them in their training process. Weconclude that simple functional reading and writing, divorcedfrom critical thinking, leads to an emergency of thecomputatōris globalizzatus, which cannot easily articulateits knowledge and professional expertise to the needs of itssociety. We conclude by proposing several recommendationsleading to make easier the reform of the EP and thedevelopment of accounting master's degrees. |
