Sumario: This article describes the findings of a research project on youth’s practices as expressions of citizenship. Based on or rather starting from the relation communication/politics, our paper is an account of how to identify the processes behind the construction of political agencies by youth collectives. We analyze the organization models, the actions undertaken, and the different forms of communication with which the members of juvenile groups attempt to generate a political agency of sorts vis-àvis the social vindications they demand via collective action. Finally, the paper describes how, through communication processes, the extent and diversity of the participant youngsters citizenship skills. We highlight the problems and difficulties these groups face vis-à-vis their latent presence and permanence in political life as well as the educational potential of such practices.
