Sumario: This project was based in developing a proposal to decrease the variability of the dispatch process in the company ASHE - Cali’s branch - supported on Lean six sigma Methodology, identifying an opportunity to reduce our target cost based on transport / Ton. The methodology is supported by statistical tools through phases of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement and Control), which allow to identify the needs of both internal and external customers, working with multifunctional client groups, and thus measuring the current performance to find the origin cause, granting improvements and evaluating the behavior once executed. The project guideline is based on concepts supported in documents that were provided by a certification program at University of San Buenaventura. Regarding the guideline, an analysis of the data collected was developed, where it was concluded that the methodology proposed, greatly improved the cost of transportation / Ton. It is recommended to pursue the procedure designed for the dispatch area which will let on to take strategic decisions to reach the level of service and increase fleet productivity, in order to align the goals of the commercial area with the indicators of the distribution area.
