Sumario: The purpose of this study was to address the issue of leadership from the school Santa Teresita of Puerto Boyacá, with a view to empower students, teachers and parents on this issue and that this is in the educational quality of the institution. The study we have done from the qualitative paradigm and an exploratory research - conducted at school descriptive Santa Teresita of Puerto Boyacá. A sample of the same school was taken and an analysis of the information obtained on the subject was made; also it inquired about this reality in other institutions in the municipality. It was identified from the perspective of educational communities the subject of leadership, seeking to analyze the space it occupies in the imagination of the institutions, the importance and scope and development could have. Some tasks that should be developed to better this situation of leadership in the school Santa Teresita was identified.
