The current dynamic organizational scenario, determines a variety of challenges that to overtake; is necessary to involve every time more information of the company and its environment. This has implied that is greater the volume of data available, which makes it difficult to extract the maximum benefit at the time of analysis. The information systems of the organizations supplies the needs of transactional support processes; monitoring, generation of required periodic reports (by the control organization and directives), but usually, it is not enough to facilitate analysis of information, or if allow doing this; the time required for that or specific knowledge are not available.
The concept of timelines is academically recognized by the ease to make interpretation of their illustrations, the analysis of information and even the memorise of data. By incorporating the concept of timelines in a model of information management is consolidate a new model to make easier the interpretation of the information.
Given previous experience and training in information management at IPS (institutions providing health services), was selected this type of organization like regarding that through a documentary research, was designed the model, that was evaluate by interviews with experts in the field of information management.
The interviews showed as the model developed have widely acceptation in the field and how the prototype enjoys a high feasibility of implementation in the area of information systems in health and other areas that the interviewees suggested because its applicability is feasible in any organization.
