Sumario: The knowledge management proposal for Bancolombia's group database administration team, seeks to have a clear vision about how to structure and access the information concerning to the execution in different projects and the procedures where we can get the information to document such knowledge. Based on knowledge management and the steps that make it a cyclical process, this project is framed in three phases: - The first phase takes into account to collect information about developing models and knowledge management, this includes documentation from the Internet, reading books and technological magazines - The second phase will have information about the Data Base Administration team’s structure, process and activities; and also an identification process for the current knowledge management condition inside this team, through an inquiry that allows to identify the gaps regarding the lack of tools and processes for the appropriate knowledge administration. - The third phase, thanks to documentation and Knowledge Management models reading, will perform a classification and an adjustment to the described components by some authors, in order to establish which of these components are aligned to the organization’s mission and to be included in the Data Base Administration team proposed model. At the end of the process, an inquiry will be performed inside de Data Base Administration team, this inquiry’s results will allow us to know if the team is able to identify the components in the knowledge management project proposal, and if they are considered as support material for the improvement of the Data Base Administration team’s processes It is expected that the proposal becomes a support to the database administration team, so their internal processes, regarding to other teams, can be more dynamic, agile and flexible; this means, they have to be aligned with the Chief Technology Office general goal, and that could become an example to the implementation and adaptation in other teams, based on the initial tests that allows the identification of methodology improvements.
