This project starts with some subjective ideas about the contextualization of the child in the street. Such as “Children in the street have turned into a social state and therefore they have made a new lifestyle”; “The state of the concept “Child of the street” has generated preoccupation and an advertising strategy which worries for the childhood”; “We could say that children have always been living in the street. What has changed is the state the children are in and the way they are named”. These ideas are just some hypotheses which help to develop the concept “children in the street” and lead to the beginning of a theoretical framework.
As a consequence, this document does not have a determined time in history. This is a project that tells in a chronological way the matter of children in the street. It shows that this issue hasn’t disappeared but instead, it has evolved to the present day to face the social and legal situation. This preliminary research was carried out having into account documents, reports and data collected. These acted as supports to establish valid conclusions of our main theme. Furthermore, this research is based on legal sources such as treaties, laws, articles, jurisprudences and doctrines. Their input determines the government’s position towards this social issue, as well as the laws that have benefited or harmed it. |
