Sumario: The present study aims to describe the symptoms of anxiety experience from the humanistic perspective- existential and patterns of association with the academic performance in students of eleventh (11°) of an educational institution of the municipality of Arjona Bolivar. The anxiety appears before the possibility of see threatened a value or a personal project necessary for what is considered a full existence (Castro, Garcia, 2011). The results show that 70% of students presents high physical and behavioral symptoms. With regard to the academic performance, the largest sample distribution was 77% for the academic performance means. In addition, it was found that 56 per cent of the students with academic performance means, presented high tendency the behavioral symptoms. And 36% of students with academic performance means, presented in high tendency physical symptoms
