Hydrotreater process (HDT) are designed to process different feeds, which include diesel, straight - run naphtha, cracked naphtha and, others feedstocks to complete functions such as diolefin saturation and, removal of sulfur, nitrogen, silicon and, others poisons of catalyst from crude or process streams by using hydrogen at high pressure as corrective agent. This can happen as part of fuel preparation before
commercialization or as part of pretreatment of feedstock to others process, especially of conversion. Starting from the typical characteristics of coker naphtha fractions, this article wants to provide a overall vision about adding value and, handling that stream through hydrotreating process. It is summary of requirements, services and, thecnical developed for coker naphtha hydrotreating, identifying the processes and, catalysts of last generation licenced by manufacturers. Issues such as the process chemical, reactions characteristics, process conditions, hardware selection, catalyst selection, volume of reactor and, final destination of the coker naphtha are very usefull for designing future units which will allow to meet quality requeriments and, increase production of fuels for comercialization |
