The present research comes from the necessity to understand phenomena that are seen every day, such as use of psychoactive substances, prostitution, robbery, murder, suicide, participation in armed groups and school dropout. When the researcher was analyzing what might be the possible causes or what could become a protective factor, thought about the life project. The start point is how the teenager builds a life project. To answer this question, an approach was taken to research developed on projects, perspectives and expectations about the future from different psychological points of view and from there start to think how the humanistic-existential psychology could contribute to understanding the configuration of life project in teenagers. The previous researches, the explorations and the theoretical insights lead to consider the life project as an important protective factor in the development of teenagers healthy behaviors, from there builds a theoretical development about the characteristics that from the humanistic-existential psychology point of view, the life project must have to become a true protection factor. |
