Sumario: This article discusses the experiences of LGBTI students in a public school in the municipality of Jamundí, difficulties in the educational and family context, and analyzes the types of relationships of individuals with their environment.The methodology was qualitative, from critical social psychology, base don’t ools such as participant observation and semi-structured interviews students with sexual or gender identity LGBTI. The analysis was performed considering economic, social, political and cultural aspects of the participants. The most significant findings are related to high light discrimination mechanisms subjects who experience this kind of context in relationships with peers and teachers, the need for recognition experienced by LGBTI students and the importance of inclusive schools regarding gender diversity.
