Sumario: This project comes from the experience as a rural school teacher, and it analyzes the New School educational approach in a context of violence and social exclusion, taking a closer look at inequality and making a critical reflection on the living conditions of the students and the impact these problems have on the teaching and learning process of the children of the population. From this starting point, this paper ponders on the reasons why poverty and the traveling conditions constitute a challenge for the educational process. Therefore, a qualitative and narrative investigation is needed, whose findings stimulate a deeper understanding of the elements of this reality, and which are the result of a direct contact with the students, their families, and some people who form part of the population and the pedagogical praxis in this framework.
