Sumario: In this refl ection myth concepts as well as utopias and imaginary are observed as part of a conceptual analysis. From these, the proposal of Saint Francis of Assisi and his followers as well as the context of the 21st century and the Franciscans arriving at Nuevo Reino de Granada in 1550 are analyzed. & e refl ection concludes with the resistance of the concepts and the imaginary operating both on the missionary friars and the Spanish religious orders, in the ecclesiastical hierarchy, the Realm and the natives of the New World.
