Sumario: Education understood as a political praxis is the bet made in this reflection. This characterization of education implies a commitment to social transformation, which is only possible through the consolidation of citizenship, open, participatory and democratic. The challenge of education is to promote spaces for the consolidation of processes to a solid exercise, conscious of citizenship. In this reflection is to address education for citizenship, as the dynamic agent of democratic processes, the result of empowering awareness and critical reflection of reality. Therefore, this text aims to think, at first, in education as a political praxis and then address the public as transformative agency, so that allows us to think that civic education is a path of transformation.
