Sumario: The purpose of the present research is to establish bases for the reflection of the issue of school violence and conflict resolution, in the frame of the Law 1620 and the current school environment. The instrument used for the compilation of the information was a survey formed by seven questions, which was applied in five private institutions of the city of Armenia. Starting from the survey three categories are defined, from which is analyzed the school violence. The results of the research show that a large percentage of the private institutions present school violence, and is concluded that is necessary that the School act with autonomy in taking decisions related with this topic.
