Recent studies on vertical greenery and plant facades in tropical latitudes different from Latin America, with the ideal environment and the greatest diversity of plants and plant species. The objective of this study is to monitor the behaviorM of air temperature, on two balconies with different orientations and whose façade is resolved with plant elements. The measurements were made in a balcony oriented to the north and another to the west of an urban building in the city of Medellin, locating two sensors in each, at 0.30 m. of distance,
n relation to the inner and outer surface of the same case. Data was collected during a month
using thermo hygrometers type HOBO Data Logger, protected by a radiation barrier. The data
were analyzed using tables and graphs to make comparisons between both cases and determine
their behavior in relation to the comfort zone according to an adaptive method. During the
day and night, the internal temperature in both cases varies between 2 °C to 4 °C during the day
as the minimum and maximum registered value. Therefore, the plant facade isolates the external
temperature during the day and night constantly |
