The main objective of this project work is to enhance the thermal and light performance of the massive housing in Monteria city through the introduction of courtyards in height. For this purpose, an architectural characterization of the multi-family buildings of the city of Monteria and different types of courtyards in height was carried out, thus proposing a Base Case and three proposals for housing with courtyards in height.
Moreover, thermal and light simulations of the Base Case and the proposed types of housing with courtyards in height were carried out for the bioclimatic analysis. Based on the results obtained, a typology was selected for the development of a final design of massive housing which incorporated courtyards in height and other bioclimatic strategies for the optimization of a building in hot - humid weather |
