Sumario: The research is presented as an opportunity to understand the formation of subjects in the Lucrecio Jaramillo Vélez Educational Institution of the municipality of Medellín; located in recent years in the first five positions at the local level, with better results in tests Saber 11, is positioned as a benchmark for educational quality among public sector institutions and actively participates with their educational projects in different academic spaces among which stand out the Fairs of Science, Technology and Innovation, at local and national level. Therefore, the research is based on the reading of pedagogical pedagogues of the Educational Institution - IE, prioritizing in them, both those who do it and the conceptual component of their Institutional Educational Project have the teachers. Likewise, it is necessary to recognize and read the courses of educational quality, of which the Institution supports the part of the teaching and learning processes and the possibility of achieving the training of the subject proposed from the PEI. From the above, the research is developed under a methodological design with a hermeneutic approach, qualitative methodology and research techniques, such as; surveys, focus group and documentary analysis, which through their triangulation offer information that serves as a reference to carry out their analysis around pedagogical discourses and educational quality, of the Lucrecio Jaramillo Vélez Educational Institution
