Sumario: This research, search to analyze the influence of the paternal function on young people with high use of social networks. A clinical design will be used through the case study, with the hermeneutical psychoanalytical foundation, of qualitative type, since it is intended to understand and identify, what are the characteristics of the phenomenon that is attempted to study. In this case it will be about those young people with high use of social networks; situation that directly affects its relationship with the external world and its object relations .The reasons are multitudinous and do not occupy the central axis within this research, what takes on a real importance is to know what are the characteristics of the paternal function in these young people. The chosen participants will be five young people, with characteristics of a high use of the social networks, in the first instance they are required to score severe on the screening test. The instruments to be used in this research are semi-structured open interview, the application of two tests of projective type, Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), Drawing of the Corman Family Test, and the instrument Internet Addiction Test (IAT), with which it is tried to obtain the necessary information to reach the objectives of this investigation.
