Technological advances completely changed the music market in Colombia and the rest of the world. Innovation processes that has been achieved over the last years demanded a drastic change in the creation, distribution and consumption musical practices. This fast dynamic obliged business and artists to generate strategies that enabled them to adapt to the digital enviroment, have presence on virtual world and be at the forefront of new markets developement.
Colombian music market has been no exception. The objective of this project is to analyze its main features with the actual overview of digital migration, as well as describe posible advantages and disadvantages of technology entry, if it´s profitable for local artists and businessmen to enter that wave and the impact of changing traditional mechanisms for new sophisticated methods that fit with globalized reality |
