Sumario: This investigative work is an analysis of the pedagogical conditions that make it possible to transit harmonic between the grades of transition to first grade taking as reference point Colegio Internado San Carlos and the need to propose teaching strategies that provide a proper handling to the problems evidenced within the institution which in turn provide children with tools to deal with the challenges involved in the change from one grade to another and encourage learning experiences that are useful to them throughout his life. The methodological choice for the development of the field work was a biographical approach to qualitative since the voices of the children involved, teachers and the school´s principal were collected through structured interviews. In this sense, the information collected allowed an analysis about the strategies implemented by the institution to address the harmonic transitions where it was evident that the school does not have the necessary guidelines for the handing of the transitions but if has an institutional culture that promotes practices of vertical joint, which allows us to establish the construction of strategies to give sense to the harmonic transitions which, in turn, will assist in the process of change of a grade to another and thus can positively influence the lives of children. Finally, it presents an educational experience which aims to tackle such a problem in order to perpetuate itself within the institution as the primary tool for handling the harmonic transitions.
