This research article has as main objective the characterization of an integral intervention model to patients with alzheimer's disease (ad). The line that was used was qualitative of descriptive type since what was intended was to characterize the components that should have an integral intervention model to this disease. This study took into account the five professionals experiences of people who are work actively or have worked in through their work obligations with ad patients from different disciplines such as psychiatry, neuropsychology, neurology, psychology and gerontology. The information was compiled through semi-structured interviews, which were later categorized into: role of the health professional in the face of the disease, experience of health professionals in the approach to ad, greatest intervention, intervention provided, in which subcategories of analysis arose. The results show that there is a great difference between the interventions currently being offered which are framed within the interdisciplinarity and the ideal interventions which account for a more beneficial form of intervention since they are placed within the transdisciplinarity. This article makes it possible to conclude that it is fundamental within this integral model, a constant monitoring by the professionals in charge and a joint work among all the disciplines, a continuous accompaniment to the families and / or main caregivers of the patient and the use of campaigns preventive measures. |
