Trend in mobile networks maintains a remarkable development generation after generation, nowadays in production until the 4G(LTE) worldwide, with a single difficulty and unconcern: the depth-scope of equal coverage in all the places of a city, because lack of investment and planning of telecommunications operators, affecting places outside the urban “roads, mountains, rural” and internal environments, “homes, buildings, underground places”, calling them “places of difficult access of the signal” by don´t keep line of sight with the signal sources.
In this document was realized an analytical, exploratory, investigative, predictive study that identified the structure-behavior of the mobile network, and the blockers of signals. The study was done in the city of Quito, where the reading-perception of the signals was done in 2G, 3G, 4G measured with an Android smartphone, divided in two specific case studies where poor coverage performance was evidenced, “home with two floors” and “highway in middle of mountains with variation of elevation and sharp curves”.
After the analysis, two proposals were determined guaranteeing the improvement of mobile coverage implementing a “DAS” Distributed Antennas System, which will amplify and distribute the signals provided by a base station, achieving greater reception from the receiving devices, going from -128dBm, values of unacceptable signal, to values between -62 and -85 dBm, ending with interruptions, increasing the speed of service establishment, which will be demonstrated by radio frequency planning software “ATOLL” and “iBuildNet Pro” modeling places, equipments configuration and predictive coverage calculations. |
