Sumario: In the present article, the operation of protections will be studied, based on an Optimal Flow of Power AC (FOP-AC), focused on the operation of micro-networks in distribution systems. The micro-networks include reduced capacity power generators connected to the load, the interconnection of these energies to the distribution network will bring benefits to the system, increasing the security, integrity and continuity of the service in the face of contingencies that arise. In the article, a mathematical method is presented for the control of power flows focused on the interconnection of the micro-network to the distribution system. For the operation of protections in micro-networks, a correct operation of the protection aimed at an optimal operation of the variables such as voltages, currents, powers, etc. will be modeled. a non-linear programming model (NLP) will be used through the management of the optimization program, which is based on the IEEE 13-bar Distribution model and for the respective technical tests with the data acquired in the program, the standard system of 13 bars in the electric simulation program in order to compare the parameters. The modeling of FOP AC in micro-networks guarantees an optimal work of the operation of protections in micro-networks and minimizing system losses.
