The present work discusses the importance degree of alternative communication and community relations evidenced in recognition of the culture and history of San Juan district, located in the historic center of Quito, through a community magazine on a from the collaboration of students from surrounding schools sector (10 de Agosto, Mejia and Simón Bolívar), CAC and neighborhood organizations themselves.
Alternative communication is the cornerstone of this work because it is from where you can demonstrate a new type of communication, away from the mass media, where the subject is who charge value and importance of creating content.
Alternative print media were chosen in the present study as it was felt that these allow the community to be part of the selection process and content production that are of interest to the neighborhood.
Culture and community relations reach a play an important role in this work because they are through the analysis thereof which could have a relationship with the San Juan district, which yielded information on the need for recognition of the inhabitants who had this place. |
