Into health care centers, users need to be well informed about different medical services for the moment they’re required, information that is not always correctly provided by clerks. Such is the case of Eugenio Espejo Hospital, from Quito, which has no adequate means of spreading the information of the hospital services it offers. This project analyzed how to improve the kind of medical services transmission that the Hospital has. To provide a complete solution to these problems was chosen to design an IPTV network, response time of such requirements of the patients of this institution with the design of an IPTV network (Internet Protocol Television). The project described the equipment operation and interaction among the network design, this equipment provides the services to receive television or video signal through broadband. For this project design, the considered format was the international standard ISO/IEC 13818-2, which is proposed by the MPEG-2 standard. MPEG-2 is traditionally used for IP (Internet Protocol) video, development that is the reason for the utility in cases when the broadband isn’t wide enough.
Because of this, the project analyzed the transport protocols of TV or audio/video signals on IP, developed on video streaming. It’s worth noting that the design satisfies the digital television service, thus, making possible that the information required by patients is always on time, and improving the quality of the service offered by the Hospital |
