Sumario: The following research focused on understanding the behavior of students between 18 and 23 years of age, with social networks ( Facebook and Twitter ) , in the Salesian Polytechnic University (Campus Giron) " . Social networks are pages that allow students who know several people, talk to friends who have not seen a long time ago or chat with friends who are near or far from home. Most students use the social network Facebook and here exchange information about their work creating study groups attaching files for performance and learning , but other students only uses it as a means of distraction or spend time in their free time . Unlike Twitter alone helps us to converse with friends and just meet various people and retweet the thoughts and emotions of others. This study will identify areas for and against, shortcomings or advantages thereof, by a thorough analysis of student behavior in relation to internal and external variables of the same, such as : needs, perceptions , attitudes , personality, problem recognition, evaluation and selection of alternatives. Once this work we have channeled this information with all seriousness, with the goal of getting students to take responsibility , especially preventive and awareness when surfing the Internet and they interact through social networking behaviors. Hoping that they give priority to develop their knowledge level studies.
