Environmental pollution is a problem that plagues most of the cities around the world, that is why nowadays this issue is taken with very important and effective solutions to offset the disadvantages and evils caused by it.
In the canton Rumiñahui there is a deficiency of skilled managers to conduct proper treatment of contaminated sludge produced in washing machines and lubricators, because of this we have seen the desire for a manager to propose a sustainable treatment.
This project sets the necessary guidelines for the establishment of an environmental manager to provide Transportation, Storage, Treatment (ECUPRO -95) and Final Disposal of Contaminated Sludge Generated in Washers and Lubricators of Rumiñahui Canton.
In the literature review there is a brief description of the contamination´s characteristics with lubricating oils as well as potential environmental impacts that are produced in this cases.
Within the baseline there is an overview of the Canton and it is presented a database of the local generators and analysis of environmental legislation applicable to the project.
Once all the information is set, the based guidelines are established for the classification as hazardous waste environmental manager, later to establish the requirements for transportation, storage, treatment Ecupro -95 and disposal that will be given to the residue and recovery thereof. |
