Sumario: The present research is to analyze the educational practices in the area of language in second year of basic education in "Colombia" Fiscal Parish School located in Canton Alóag- Mejia. The research focuses on the educational practices of language because in our country the research on educational practices is scarce and is one of the areas to which more attention in the educational curriculum is provided, since it is present in all the years of schooling and it has been the main focus in national and international assessments. The case study was conducted in two stages, the first time was investigated bibliographical sources, which contribute to job enrichment theory then move to the second stage which consists of field research using qualitative method through ethnography, in which several techniques and instruments used as observation through records, the field diary and interviews. In this paper various aspects of educational practices, among these are educational planning, the structure of a class, the organization of work in the classroom, teacher-student interaction, assessment forms and types of academic tasks is analyzed, these actions to identify which educational practices in the area of language in second year EGB are present in the basic education of our country.
