The product consists on the development of an audiovisual reportage of the Rite of
Exorcism in the Quito Archidiocese, it has a duration of 13 minutes 56 seconds.
The story line of the report is based on three fundamental perspectives: religious,
psychological and anthropological, that argue its vision to find answers about exorcism in
modern times.
The religious look talks about the rite performed by the priest to expel demons that by
external causes such as esoteric rites, makes supernatural beings to enter to our body while
the psychological look denies this mentioned rite, where the behavior of the person who
is possessed has psychological symptoms of schizophrenia. Anthropology adds that
shamanism is the precedent for religious rites as they are very similar.
The three looks complement each other in expressing that faith alone makes these
practices true in real life. |
