The objective of this case study is to identify and analyze the pedagogical model used in the teaching-learning process (PEA) of the Basic General Education (EGB) Media, by the teachers of the El Sauce Private Educational Unit during the school year 2017 - 2018, located in the parish of Tumbaco in the city of Quito. The pedagogical model guides and directs education in a specific context, classified as Traditional, Active School and Constructivism, since they have greater relevance in the Middle EGB. The qualitative methodology is applied. The sample consists of managers, teachers of the basic areas and students of EGB Media. The Curriculum of the Levels of Compulsory Education (2016) and the Institutional Educational Project (PEI) were also analyzed. The results obtained and conclusions show that the PEI and the "Curriculum" have an emphasis on the Constructivist pedagogical model with some features of the Active School; however, the observation in the classroom reveals that the teachers during the educational act also follow the Traditional model. |
