The next project involves designing a stainless steel machine that flattens steel sheets from a range of 0,30 mm to 0,60 mm, and a width of 1220 mm. Its main funtion is to eliminate the distortions in the steel sheet that are metallurgical he residual stresses that occur due to a number of many conditions inherent to the structure and properties of the metal, including molecular disorientation caused by the improper storage of transportation of coils.
The presence of such stresses can cause deformed pieces that are visible even after either a cold or warm refining process, which at the end acts negatively on the final presentation of the metal sheet. The machine operates on the general principle of flattening sheets or deformed parts, which is applying enough force on the spot that needs to be flattened until it reaches its elastic limit. We can perform this process, as many times as needed, and also in multiple spots until the piece of the sheet that we need to flatten is no longer visible. Additionally, we can reduce the internal stresses in the material that provoke most of the deformities in the subsequent processes of the production line, making our company more profitable and allowing us to produce products of higher quality. |
