Sumario: This project deals with the design and construction of a rotating horizontal drum type machine with a stationary blade to produce 150 kg of ice daily with an adjustable thickness of 1 to 3 mm for production of sausages. It starts showing a brief explanation about the machine, types and operation. For the selection of the machine to be built several alternatives arise, of which you opt for one that has greater advantages in manufacturing cost, ease of construction, and quality of the final product. About the design team, it is divided into three main parts: cooling system,the mechanical system of rotation of the cylinder, cut ice, and electrical power, control system. This design includes selection of components and accessories of the machine. the process of building both: the cooling system and the cutting of ice and turning cylinder, are followed by an analysis with technical data from tests equipment performance, these results are tabulated and interpreted graphically described, allow conclusions on the performance of the machine. Direct and indirect construction costs of the producer, so as to allow an analysis of the time that the investment is recovere.
