Sumario: This paper focuses on evaluating the toxicity of two emulsions with essential oils of lemongrass and turmeric pink fish Barbus. Two treatments with two different essential oils, turmeric and lemongrass, with inclusion of low-dose, medium, upper middle and high dose at different times of 24, 48 and 96 hours compared with a control which contained only emulsifier (Tween 20 were established ). Using the statistical test one-way ANOVA with a significance of p 0.05 was reached to determine the changes in the physicochemical conditions of water are not significant and do not contribute to toxicity. The two-factor ANOVA regarding dose x treatment; time x treatment and dose x time allowed us to determine if there were changes in behavior and mortality of fish, with high upper middle dose (300ppm) and (600 pm) which produced greater toxicity in fish Pink Barbus. Concluding that the emulsion with turmeric essential oil produced subacute toxicity data older than the emulsion with essential oil of verbena, because with Tukey tests applied the death of fish in direct relationship is evidenced by increased dosages and exposure times, the upper middle and high doses in the three treatments were severe in the subacute toxicity of specimens, killing 100% of the treated specimens.
