Sumario: Energy losses in power systems are due to technical reasons and "non-technical" order. In the first case, electricity is lost in its journey through the lines and grids. Basically due to Joule's law (resistive losses) and secondarily as a result of "corona" and the eddy currents that occur in the different elements of the electrical system, a process that goes from the transmission of energy through large distances, transforming voltages to enable, first, such a transfer, and then make it available to users through distribution networks.
